Meet Your Staff

Desiree has an extensive background in dentistry. Some of the many positions she has held include Office Manager, Insurance Benefit and Treatment Coordinator, and Business Administrator. In addition, she has education and training as a Registered Sleep Technician/ Clinical Patient Coordinator focusing on Myofunctional Therapy in a Dental Sleep Study facility. Office management is her strongest skill, focusing on daily meet and greetings with patients and helping them to utilize and maximize their insurance benefits.

Her hobbies include organic gardening and farming, crafts, and interior design.
Desiree loves listening to country music and watching the Chicago White Sox!

Kristen grew up in Melrose Park and has been working in the dental field for more than 30 years. Her experience includes assisting the doctors as well as front office. She enjoys both assisting, as well as performing in-office whitening treatments. She is especially passionate about the cosmetic aspect of dentistry and working with children. Kristen is certified in CPR and Coronal Polishing & Sealant Placement. She is happy to answer any questions you may have about whitening, single-visit crowns (Cerec), Invisalign or any other treatment we offer. She also manages all of our social media accounts.

Kristen has two daughters, enjoys working out, traveling and going to concerts.

Kim has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2007. She believes in continuing education to learn about the latest advances in dentistry so that she can better educate and treat her patients. Kim is certified in Diode Laser technology which is used for the treatment of periodontal disease and aphthous ulcers. Her favorite part about being a dental hygienist is helping patients feel comfortable during their dental visit. Compassion and education is an important part of building a trusting relationship. Kim strives to build that trusting relationship with each and every patient.

Kim grew up in Downers Grove and now lives in Bolingbrook with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, playing piano, and enjoying the outdoors. She is also a Girl Scout Troop Leader.

Laura graduated from hygiene school at Prairie State College in 2012. She believes that she can make a difference in patients' lives by educating them as to how they can maintain a healthy smile for life. Outside the office, Laura and her husband are busy with their four kids. She enjoys reading, swimming, and lying around watching movies.

Donata comes to Smart Mouth with an amazing background of not only dental assisting, but also managing multiple offices in the city.  She has great experience assisting as well as insurance, scheduling and social media.  

Donata lives in Woodridge with her son and loves to fish!

Sherri is the face and voice of Smart Mouth Dental! She has been cheerfully greeting our patients for over 20 years. She has a bachelor's degree in business and utilizes that education to help patients with their insurance, scheduling appointments and other office coordination. Insurance benefit information can be confusing, Sherri is here to help to maximize benefits and answer any questions our patients may have. She is a valuable asset not only to us here at Smart Mouth Dental, but also to our patients.

Sherri enjoys spending time with friends and family including her children, grandchildren and extended family, going to concerts, Sox and Bears games or anything else fun and exciting going on in Chicagoland.

She is also the founder of the Live Like Mike Foundation, a pay-it-forward organization benefiting families in need in the Woodridge area.
